The hands behind every stitch.
Soares Mario Mendes is the young, driven craftsman who founded SMG Upholstery in 2014. What began as a one-man workshop has grown into a trusted Midrand studio — built on his relentless work ethic, an eye for detail, and a real love for the craft.
Soares believes upholstery is more than fabric on a frame — it's about restoring comfort, dignity and pride to every home, office, salon and vehicle he touches. He personally oversees each project, from the first quote to the final stitch, treating every piece as if it were destined for his own living room.
Humble, hard-working and endlessly creative, he leads a team that shares the same standard: honest work, premium materials, and a finish that lasts.
